The Lime Wood Hotel was named the most luxurious room by industry experts, and Heckfield Place was also honored in third place. Southwest of the village England dominated the upper echelons of the list, with 14 places named in the top 50.
Located in the heart of the New Forest National Park, Lime Wood Hotel has risen 18 places on last year’s list. The vacation hotspot features cozy, tranquil rooms and breathtaking forest lodges. It is also home to the Herb House Spa, with indoor and outdoor pools with stunning forest views.
The list of the 50 best boutique hotels was compiled by The Morning Advertiser, a publication of William Reid. Chris Lowe, director of hospitality and production at William Reed, said: “We are delighted to be launching this fantastic new list and to see such strong movement in this year’s Top 50 Boutique Hotels. Our number one jumps 18 places from last year and the highest new entry is number five, which is a testament to the stellar efforts of these teams.
“As the British continue to take center stage, it’s great to see such a strong regional presence this year and such a wide range of unique hotel experiences to enjoy.”
William Reid has also produced lists for other pillars of the hospitality sector, including the top 50 gastropubs and cocktail bars. Their experts aim to create a definitive guide to where to eat, drink and stay in the UK.
