After keeping prices at the same level in 2022, PostNL has announced that from January 2023 the prices for parcel delivery and postage stamps will increase.
PostNL increases prices for domestic and international deliveries
While the coronavirus pandemic led to booming business for a delivery companyOver the past few months, PostNL has again seen a drop in the number of letters and parcels sent to post. The company says the price increase is “inevitable” largely as a result of this drop in “postal volumes” and high inflation rate.
“PostNL is committed to keeping the mail reliable, accessible and accessible to all our customers, so we are constantly striving to improve our efficiency,” explains Bob van Ireland, Director of Post in the Netherlands. “At the same time, our costs continue to rise, including due to inflation. Hence this moderate but necessary increase in our prices.”
In the Netherlands, stamp prices rose above 1 euro
From January 1, 2023, PostNL will increase its prices for national and international delivery. The base rate for letters sent abroad will rise from €1.55 to €1.65, while the price of domestic stamps will rise above €1 for the first time. historyfrom the current rate of €0.96 to €1.01.
The price of PostNL’s so-called December stamps, which will go on sale in November, will remain unchanged at €0.91 per stamp. Meanwhile, the price for sending a package within the country through one of the many points of PostNL in Netherlands will rise from €7.25 to €7.65.
