NASA plans to conduct a demonstration test of its Artemis I lunar mission this coming Wednesday, September 21. The trend reports with reference to
Xinhua.
The demonstration test will allow the teams to confirm the repair of a hydrogen leak seen during the Artemis I launch attempt in early September, evaluate updated fuel loading procedures and conduct additional evaluations, NASA said.
The demonstration will end when the test objectives are met.
The Artemis I Flight Test is an uncrewed lunar mission that will pave the way for crewed flight tests and future human exploration of the Moon as part of NASA’s Artemis Lunar Program.
NASA canceled the first launch attempt of the Artemis I lunar mission on August 29 due to an engine problem, and canceled the second launch attempt on September 3 due to a leak problem.
