The emperor conveyed his best wishes to the new king.
Prince Albert II sent a message to King Charles III via official dispatch. The Sovereign has already expressed his condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth II :

It’s remarkable how much weight you place on sustainable development, climate change and ocean conservation issues, which I know we both see as paramount to the future of our planet.
