The vast majority of the members of the European Parliament supported it resolution saying that Hungary is no longer a full democracy. On Thursday, 433 members of the European Parliament voted for, 123 against, 28 abstained. The resolution notes that the lack of decisive action by the EU has contributed to the emergence of a “hybrid regime of electoral autocracy”. It condemns the “deliberate and systematic efforts of the Hungarian government” to undermine EU values.
