Taxi drivers from more than 20 countries staged protests in Brussels on Thursday, demanding that the European Commission investigate alleged improper lobbying by US transport firm Uber among European politicians. Leaked files published by a consortium of investigative journalists revealed the firm used access to politicians to circumvent local laws and recruited former EU commissioner Neely Kroos to lobby the Dutch government on their behalf.
