PROTESTERS from Extinction Rebellion have glued themselves around the Speaker’s chair in the House of Commons.
Climate activists are calling for a Citizens’ Assembly to bring together “ordinary people to investigate, debate and develop recommendations on how to respond to the climate emergency.”

In addition to the activists in the cell, others used bicycle locks to attach themselves to the fence outside the building.
Parliament is on holiday and most MPs will be away from the building.
