According to a new study, Roblox is one of the most hated apps in the world.
If you don’t know, Roblox is a video game platform where players can dress up their avatars, play games, and create experiences and items for other players.
It’s basically a meta universe for kids and contains over 40 million games.
Electronics Hub conducted an analysis of Twitter sentiment and found that 21 countries hate Roblox more than any other app, making it the second most hated app in the world.
Dating app Hinge came in first, with Tinder in second with 19 countries.
Roblox has become the most hated app in Ukraine, Romania, Switzerland, Portugal, France, Bulgaria, Slovakia, North Korea, and Hungary, among others.
“We processed more than 3 million geotagged tweets related to 87 social networking, dating, mobile gaming, entertainment, cryptocurrency and remittance applications,” Electronic center – the report says.
“We calculated the percentage of negative tweets about each app using the HuggingFace Sentiment Analysis tool, which determines whether a tweet is positive, negative, or neutral.”
Obviously, the data is not perfect.
Twitter is a social media platform built around adults, and the majority of Roblox players are children – their sentiments are not included in the data.
There is also some prejudice that Roblox is banned in North Korea, which may go some way to explaining why there is so much negativity in the country.
Recently, however, Roblox has faced a lot of negative press, allegedly using young game developers to online predators using the platform focus on children.
