Meanwhile, Villarreal manager Unai Emery has agreed that Jeremy Pino could leave the club if a big-money offer comes in for the 19-year-old winger.

Bids in the region of £34m-£42m will reportedly be accepted and Emery admitted: “If an offer comes in for players like Jeremy Pino, he will have to leave.

“We are responsible to the club. It is what it is.’

The Toon are believed to be considering a move if the American is allowed to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
