National athlete Aliabas Rzazade defeated his opponent from Uzbekistan Khikmatul Vohidov with a score of 8-7.
The 5th Games of Islamic Solidarity are being held in the Turkish city of Konya, which will last until August 18.
In total, athletes from 56 member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will take part in the Games of Islamic Solidarity. The competition will be held at 14 different venues throughout Konya. According to the results of the competition, 355 medals will be awarded to the winners.
At the moment, Azerbaijan has won five medals, including one gold, one silver and three bronze.
