The former England goalkeeper will take part in the Utilita Football Festival on Monday, which is free for all
Portsmouth players and coach Jay Sadler will also be present.
James Hayes, Group Partnerships Manager at Utilita, said: “It’s always a pleasure to work with our partner club Portsmouth and EFL. This festival promises to be huge fun – without the expense.
“I’m sure the Pompey fans will be delighted to have David James on the day, as well as Danny Cowley and Jay Sadler.
“We can’t wait to welcome you all, so put on your boots and show us your skills.”
Utilita staff have partnered with Pompey In The Community (PITC) and the English Football League (EFL) to organize the free event.
The festival will be held from 10am to 3pm at the Bay House School gym on Browndown Road, State Party.
A range of activities will be on offer, including football darts, blindfold football, drills and agility games.
Food stalls, an ice cream van and face painting will also be available for families and children.
Between 2006 and 2010, David James made 158 appearances for Pompey.
He played a key role in the FA Cup winner in 2008 and also appeared in the final of the same competition two years later.
