De Jong came “close”
It is reported that “Manchester United” is approaching the signing of “Barcelona” player Frankie de Jong.
Reports from Spain suggest that the deal may be in the “home direct”, and “United” may conclude the signing as early as next week. According to the Spanish edition of Sport, “United” started with “lowball” Barcelona but have now increased their offer closer to the asking price of £ 68.8 million.
The report adds that this has led United to enter into negotiations with De Jong’s representatives on a five-year contract, with the deal now called “very advanced”.
Ten Hag’s position is clear
Eric ten Hague considers Frankie de Jong crucial to his recovery of Manchester United.
The United boss has known the midfielder well since his time at Ajax and knows the characteristics he can bring to his new club. When De Jong signed a contract with the Dutch club, he was given a “Mercedes”, for which his father said he was “embarrassed”.
And it’s a “modest” attitude that Ten Hague is believed to be trying to instill in the United team when it seeks to bring the club back to the top of European football.
A protest action is planned
Fans of “Manchester United” plan to protest against the first home game of Eric Ten Hague as manager of the club.
The protest, scheduled for July 31 before the friendly match against Rayo Vallecano, will take place outside of Old Trafford. The owners of United, the Glaser family, will be the target of protests, and a number of fans are disappointed with their leadership of the club.
Glaser’s decision to pay dividends of around £ 8 million will be the center of protests.
