The National Rifle Association staged a parade of covert carry-ons at its fashion show in Houston, where models displayed weapons tucked into their underwear just four days after the Uwalde shooting.

Two women proudly demonstrated handguns tied to their chests, pulling on shirts with a wide smile on their faces.

Another blonde in a beige pencil skirt and open-shouldered top smiled mischievously as she lifted her shirt, revealing a black pistol tucked tightly into her white lace underwear.

Other women carried hidden weapons in less provocative places, such as under armpits and hidden in fashionable purses.

Other men have shown that you don’t have to choose between a gun or a child on your thigh if he graciously walked the runway with his child while the gun was held on his thigh. His son magically ran down the runway, wearing the same clothes, without a gun.

Many models have shown that hidden weapons do not mean that you need to give up fashion, because women and men are seen in different styles from secret agent costumes to cowboy boots and sundresses.

However, despite the fashionable ways in which NRA models have shown that weapons can be hidden, the convention – which showcases weapons of all types throughout the weekend of Remembrance Day – comes after 19 children and two teachers were killed in the result of a shooting at Rob Elementary School in Uwald, Texas.

18-year-old Salvador Ramos shot dead a school around 11 a.m. Tuesday, shooting two fourth-graders at the same school his cousin attended after he bought two rifles around his 18th birthday.

Shelby Celeste Salazar said her son was a third-grader at Robb Elementary School in Uwald, Texas, where her 18-year-old cousin opened fire on Tuesday in a horrific shooting that killed 19 children and two teachers.

Speaking to DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview, the 28-year-old Salazar said that a few days before the massacre Ramos spoke with her son and asked him what school he attended and at what time the students were released for lunch.

“At the time, I didn’t think about it, they had a good relationship. They are cousins, ”said the mother of four.

Salazar and her children lived with Ramas and their grandmother Celia Gonzalez, whose grandson shot him in the face just before the massacre. She is the daughter of Ramas’ mother’s half-sister.

On Friday even at the NRA convention, the senator Ted Cruz abruptly called to the school door several police officers and ex-servicemen to avoid another horrific school massacre.

The 51-year-old Cruz suggested at an annual conference in Houston on Friday that schools should model court building security measures such as “restricting entry to one entrance.”

“Schools should also have a single entry point,” he complained on Friday. “At this single point of entry, we should have several armed police officers or, if necessary, military veterans trained to ensure the safety and security of our children.

“We need serious funding to upgrade our schools to install bulletproof doors and classroom door locks.”

The Republican MP also recalled the six places of executions he had visited since 2016, and called them all “horrible.”

“I was in Dallas in 2016, in Sutherland Springs in 2017, in Santa Fe in 2018, in El Paso and Midland Odessa in 2019, and now in Uwalde. There was a picture of horror every time, ”he said on Friday.

Despite visiting the sites of the six shootings, Cruz – among other Republican leaders such as former President Donald Trump, who also attended the NRA conference – is not calling for gun reform or tougher restrictions.

“We must not react to evil and tragedy by rejecting the Constitution or violating the rights of our law-abiding citizens,” Cruz said on Friday.

The 75-year-old Trump also spoke at the conference and called for “drastic” changes in the country’s approach to mental health, saying the United States needs “a major overhaul of security in schools across the country.”

The former president said that “the existence of evil in our world is not a reason to disarm law-abiding citizens. The existence of evil is one of the best reasons to arm law-abiding citizens. ”

Trump also agreed with Cruz, saying schools should tighten security by having a single point of entry, a sturdy outer fence and metal detectors, as well as armed officers.

He also called for teaching teachers the ability to carry concealed weapons in classrooms.

The conference – the first since 2019 – took place three days after the shooting in Uwalde, where 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, a native of North Dakota, shot dead 19 students and two teachers around 11pm on Tuesday at Rob Elementary School.

Around his 18th birthday, the teen bought two rifles and worked at a local Wendy’s to stock up on purchases.
